About

Twenty years of helping parents feel ready

MomEase began in 2004 with one belief: that good information and steady support can turn fear into confidence. Two decades later, that's still the whole job.

Carolyn Alexander

Breastfeeding Basics Instructor · ICEA Childbirth Educator · Labor Doula

Carolyn is an ICEA-certified childbirth educator, Breastfeeding Basics instructor, and labor doula with more than 15 years in the field. She's attended over 528 births and taught more than 3,000 couples — numbers that still translate, every single time, into one nervous family feeling a little more ready.

She built MomEase to be the kind of support she wished every parent had: warm, unhurried, evidence-based, and genuinely in your corner. Around her is a diverse team of educators and doulas, backed by a board of medical advisors and partnerships with seven area hospitals and three birth centers.

Janna Martin

Childbirth Educator · Labor & Postpartum Doula · BSN

My passion for birth work began early, inspired by my mother, who was a childbirth educator. When my husband and I were expecting our first child in 2002, we prepared with Bradley Method classes, and the confidence we gained shaped my desire to help others navigate the transition into parenthood. As of 2025, I've had the privilege of supporting nearly 70 families through labor and/or postpartum care and teaching well over 100 families in childbirth education. In 2024, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University, and I look forward to continuing my work in maternal and infant health as a registered nurse.

Labor Doula · Breastfeeding Support · Placenta Encapsulation

When I'm supporting families through my doula work, breastfeeding assistance, or placenta encapsulation, it is a feeling I can only describe as genuine happiness — and not just for me, but for whomever I am supporting, because I know I am giving them my all.

Labor Doula · Birth Educator

Birth advocacy and empowerment are my jam. I strive to encourage birthing families to gain practical knowledge and amplify intuitive body knowledge. Doula work is more to me than back rubs and ice chips — it's about creating a team to increase the likelihood of a beautiful birth memory and a smooth transition into the fourth trimester. I am the mother of seven amazing humans and a Mom-mom to three sweet grandsons.

Nancy Chang

Nancy Chang

Yoga & Mindfulness Instructor

Nancy began her teaching career in 1983 across Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Along the way she became interested in de-escalating intense behaviors through mindfulness strategies, and went on to teach students with autism and emotional disabilities in the BOCES program in Long Island. Incorporating physical activity, stretching, mindfulness, and relaxation into the classroom, she helped her students improve behaviorally and thrive academically.

Brianna Jones

Brianna Jones

Labor Doula

As a mother of two, I've personally experienced the incredible power of natural water births with midwives who supported me every step of the way. Those transformative moments not only gave me my beautiful children but also the inspiration to help other women feel supported, prepared, and empowered throughout their own birthing journeys.

What we stand for

01

Evidence over fear

Everything we teach is reviewed by a board of medical advisors. No scare tactics, no folklore — just clear, current information you can trust.

02

Your voice matters

We teach you how to be heard by your providers and your insurance, and we advocate beside you so decisions are made with you, never at you.

03

Support that's reachable

Insurance partnerships, scholarships, and payment plans exist so that good care isn't a luxury. Everyone deserves a soft landing into parenthood.

"To educate, advocate, and assist — so every parent walks into birth prepared and unafraid."
