Two decades, one mission
From a single childbirth class in 2004 to a team trusted by seven hospitals — here's how MomEase grew.
- 2004
MomEase begins
Carolyn Alexander founds MomEase in Alexandria, Virginia, with a simple mission: turn the fear around birth into confidence through honest, evidence-based education.
- 2006–2010
Sibley Memorial years
MomEase teaches and supports families at Sibley Memorial Hospital, developing custom tools along the way — a labor Progression Guide, a baby bathrobe, and a relaxation recording.
- 2010s
Trusted by institutions
Corporate and institutional clients — including March of Dimes and George Washington University Health Plan — bring MomEase in for classes, CPR training, and corporate baby showers.
- Today
A full continuum of care
Partnerships with seven area hospitals and three birth centers, a board of medical advisors, and a diverse team — with 528+ births attended and 3,000+ couples taught, and Denver on the horizon.
